Baishali Ghosh
Baishali Ghosh teaches art history and visual studies in the department of Fine Arts, University of Hyderabad. She is a researcher of the architecture of the Bengal partition and memorialization and also does work on textiles. The Charles Wallace Research Grant UK, Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fellowship, a research grant from Nehru Trust For the Indian Collection at V&A Museum, ICHR Grant and UGC Major Research Grant made Baishali's research possible. She worked for the Madras Craft foundation to establish the Chettinad house in the DakshinChitra museum with contemporary Kalamkari textile. Her publications include Myth of An Excuse (2014), Benaras – a trope ( 2012), and Final Display- An Unfinished Self-Curatorial project’ (2011) Art History beyond Academia (2008). At present, Baishali is working on her manuscript.
